Ryan is a results-oriented and exceptionally skilled measurement and results management professional, with in-depth knowledge and expertise in assessing performance and effectiveness of development programmes in agricultural and economic competitiveness sectors across Africa. In his roles, he has worked in multi-donor Market Systems Development programmes applying various measurements standards, including Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED) standard for results measurement.
Prior to joining FSD Africa, Ryan was working for Palladium in Rwanda as MRM manager for an agricultural value chain DFID funded programme. He had earlier worked in the same capacity for Technoserve (TNS) for a multi-country programme based in South Africa and covering Zambia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Burkina Faso. Early in his career, he worked at Kenya Markets Trust in Kenya as a Knowledge and results manager.
His extensive experience is complemented by his academic qualifications in Economics and Statistics.
