Kevin Munjal is FSD Africa’s Director, Development Impact (DI). He is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of FSD Africa’s (including FSDAi) DI planning and management assets – systems, resources, tools and processes – ensuring that they generate evidence products that help visualise FSD Africa’s impact and inform internal adaptive management efforts. He represents Management on the Development Committee – a committee of the Board that is responsible for FSD Africa’s development impact.
Kevin joined FSD Africa in December 2015 to set up the Development Impact Unit and has been leading its evolution since then. He has close to 15 years of experience and expertise in designing, managing, and tracking the impact of inclusive growth development initiatives targeting different population categories across SSA. Prior to joining FSD Africa, Kevin worked with GOAL Global – at the intersection of humanitarian and development programming – where he led the organisation’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) efforts in Kenya. He also provided support to the Malawi and South Sudan country programmes. He has also worked with the Kenya Community Development Foundation and AMREF Health Africa in various MEAL and programme management capacities.
Kevin has a deep appreciation of the role of public and private sector development, market systems development, and public-private partnerships in advancing developing economies towards realising the Sustainable Development Goals. He is particularly passionate about the green agenda for Africa and seeks to contribute to it personally by planting trees and helping restore lost green spaces.
He holds a Masters in Population Studies from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelors degree in Public Health, and several certifications including one on Climate Finance.
